I could walk forever on the amazing cordwalk at Kohler-Andrae State Park
Not only is the juncture of sky and water and dunes at Kohler-Andrae hauntingly beautiful and moody in all kinds of light and weather, but the miles of cordwalk trails provide the most beneficial form of exercise I know. Each wooden slat sits on the sand at a slightly different angle, so with each step, you're exercising a slightly different muscle group. The effect is like a whole body massage. We walked for hours, and when we finished, we felt great and were all ready to start over, except that we were hungry and it would soon be dark.
