The jaws of progress take a bite out of our street, the better to replace the infrastructure
It's summer in Madison, so it's time for work on (and under) the streets, replacing the Depression-era sewer lines and water mains and then repaving the street and putting in new curbs and gutters. Final it's our turn on our street. The big equipment moved in Monday, ready for action. There was a slight delay when they realized they would have to briefly turn off water to Edgewood College to proceed and had to give them notice, but yesterday they started to dig in earnest. As I'll continue to be surrounded by photo ops the next couple months, I'll probably continue uploading the occasional photo to this Flickr set now and then.
