Who is this masked stranger?

Who's That Masked Stranger?
Seems to be a Cedar Waxwing, photographed in the UW Arboretum near Lake Wingra, off Arbor Drive. Nice hat. More information here, including audio.

Ah, I love those birds. I've only seen them once here in N. California, but it was a heck of a sighting. An entire flock of them devoured the red berries on a tree alongside my parents' back deck. I watched in utter fascination for about an hour. They ate all the berries and flew away -- and that was the last time I've ever seen cedar waxwings. What a joyful memory. Thanks for resurrecting it for me.
